Common questions
Permissions. Dial asks at the moment a feature needs it: AlarmKit for the plan-reached alarm, the microphone and on-device speech recognition for parking a thought by voice, notifications for spoken milestones, and Reminders or Calendar only when you send a thought there. Every one can be declined without blocking a session, and changed later in the iOS Settings app.
Where your data lives. Sessions, settings, and Parked Thoughts are stored on your device. There is no Aether account and no Aether server. The Privacy page describes this in full.
Deleting data. A parked thought can be deleted from the Parked tab. Removing the app removes its local data, through the usual iOS controls.
Apple Watch, widgets, and Siri. The Watch app, Home and Lock Screen widgets, the Control Center control, and Siri shortcuts all act on the same session as the phone. Add them through the usual iOS and watchOS controls.
