Aether Cadence (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS and iPadOS applications (collectively, the “App”).

Our Core Privacy Principle: Your data stays on your device. We don’t collect, store, or access your personal information on our servers—because we don’t have any servers.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Aether Cadence is designed with privacy at its core. We do not:

  • Collect personal information
  • Require account creation
  • Use analytics or tracking tools
  • Display advertisements
  • Sell or share your data with third parties
  • Upload your data to our servers (we don’t have any)
  • Use cookies or similar tracking technologies

Information Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s secure frameworks (SwiftData, UserDefaults, and App Groups):

Presentation Data

  • Outline content you import or create
  • Section titles and timing estimates
  • Speech tracking progress
  • Presentation history

Speech Recognition Data

  • Voice input is processed in real-time using Apple’s on-device Speech framework
  • No voice recordings are stored
  • Transcription happens locally on your device

App Preferences

  • Display preferences
  • Speech recognition settings
  • Notification preferences

Apple Intelligence & On-Device Processing

Aether Cadence uses Apple Intelligence for speech-aware navigation:

  • On-Device Only: All processing happens locally on your device
  • No Cloud Processing: Your presentation content never leaves your device
  • Private: We cannot access your data or processing results

Live Activities

Aether Cadence uses Apple’s Live Activities feature to show your presentation progress:

  • Local Only: Activity data is managed by iOS and never transmitted to us
  • Visible on Lock Screen: Progress appears on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
  • No Data Collection: We do not receive any data from Live Activities

Third-Party Services

Aether Cadence does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools. The only external services used are:

  • Apple Speech Framework: For on-device speech recognition (Apple’s privacy policy applies)
  • Apple Intelligence: For on-device pattern recognition (Apple’s privacy policy applies)

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

  • Retention: Data remains on your device until you delete it
  • Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all local data
  • Manual Deletion: You can delete individual presentations within the app

Children’s Privacy

Aether Cadence does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.
